Pharmaceutical Packaging Testing

Integrity testing of pharmaceutical blister and foil packs is frequently a problematic area. Whilst MET supply extremely accurate electronic systems with full data gathering, manufacturers often prefer the simpler "Blue Dye Test". This test is widely accepted and is available from MET in a neat package. Available from £3,000, PacVac combines a water tank with a neat venturi vacuum system, thus providing a low-capital packaging test that can be easily validated.

PacVac leak detection system is an intuitive piece of equipment. Packs are placed in a water-filled chamber, the head space above the water level is evacuated using a venturi vacuum (compressed air) system. Leaks and their location are identified by a stream of bubbles or the ingress of methylene blue dye once the vacuum cycle is ended. Testing takes under 30 seconds. The tank is tough and clear, thus providing complete visibility of the process.

The PacVac package testing system is offered complete with our validation service using 12.5 and 25 micron calibrated holes. Prices start at just £3,000 or £4,000 including validation!
